mannn i think i'm getting at least 8.1/100km maybe more 8.5 maybe.. i've got 17" and power filter. always drive on CTV and shift at 3500rmp That's about right. I assume the heavier wheels and CVT and filter has something to do with it.

hmmm, I guess the optimum fuel ratio is 6.1-6.4 combined. however, 6.5-6.9 would be considered full urban usage. I guess for those who reached above 7.0-8.0 might need to consider your driving skill + your engine problem~~~ Doubt there are engine problems. Driving skills may account for high fuel usage but sometimes its a real pain to drive economically. You really have to drive really slow to achieve < 6.0L/100km. I've tested it on 1 tank and got about 5.9L for nearly the whole tank and it raised to 6L when the light came on because I coudn't be bothered driving like a granny anymore.

I don't usually giv e a sh*t about the trip computer or fuel consumption... only recently I pay attention because it took me $45 to fill the tank with normal unleaded... I have to start thinking about the way I drive.. ;D ;D

have U been resetting the reading before? it was like 6.4L/100km... I reset it once, now it usually shows 6.0-6.2L/100km

My japanese friend told me that all the japanese car have to use aleast 95 because they dont have 91 anymore...all the new cars designed to use 95 or more, that means if your car is MADE in JAPAN, then u better fill the 95 or more pertrol.... ;D Was reading the above post by Brightboyfree... This got me confused.. When I was on BP Ultimate 98 a few months ago. No matter how grandma I drive.. the best I can do is 6.8L/100 for a tank... I filled up half a tank of Shell Ron95 a few days ago... mixing with the already in the tank Shell Ron91 which I filled up last week .. (cannot afford Ron98 anymore.. ;D).. I managed to do 6.4L/100km with my grandma style driving.. So, what's the verdict? running on Ron95 is better? or is it too early to tell? I might run a few more tanks of Ron95 before I jump to the conclusion... Well.. at least I saw the consumption decreased while cruising on the freeway which I could never see when using Ron98.

I guess the max octane I could go would be 95~~ Ahcash, I thought U got so many cash to spend? hehehe~ the reason I don't use 98 is 1. can't find any nearby station that have 98, 2. expensive, 3. no prove to tell 98 is better than 95 or 91. so I guess I could only go for 95~ ^^

Petrol was over 2 dollarsa litre in Japan when it was still well under a dollar here. Things aren't that bad unless you filling up the 150 litre fuel tank of a large 4WD every week.

man~~ U can't compare with Japan or HK~~ if I compare with Malaysia Im surely won't use petrol at all lah~~ well, I only compare the fuel price back from the past 3 years where it was AUD0.60 per litre~ now it has gone up to 1.30~~ however, I guess the government is taking action now~ and the price starts to drop to 115-120~

Yeah true. But if the price stays high long enough we'll get used to it being around the new level. Its the constant rising that makes it annoying.
Good for push bike sales.

when i first got my jazz, my fuel consumption was pretty high. (more than 7L/100km?! it shows, about 400km per tank ) but i've had mine for about a year now. and its economy/efficiency has gone to about 6.3-6.5L/100km, so i'm getting atleast 550km per tank. ;D note, i try not to go too far once the fuel indicator comes on, scared that i'll be stuck on the highway where no petrol station is in sight ><.
