I was wondering would it be easier if we can buy the connector for the cd stacker and then just plug it in and split the other end?
Not sure if Honda will sell just the connector.

Just a couple of tips for anyone struggling to get their head unit out (like me!) The 2 "hidden" screws holding the centre panel in can be removed by feel on 2004 models with an 8mm hexagonal socket with longish (6") extension bar and 1/4" drive. It's much easier than using a screwdriver as the bolts sit in the socket using gravity! Also I stumbled across a much easier way of releasing the left hand (UK passenger side) of the head unit. From inside the glovebox compartment, insert a small bar into the top of the "triangular" gap between the frame and the centre panel and push back firmly. This releases the 3 clips holding the passenger side of the head unit in place.

Hiya, I have just followed these instructions and removed the factory head unit. I have found that the 4 pin audio cable from a CD/DVD Rom unit that connects to a computer motherboard has the correct size pin connections and spacings to fit the head unit aux socket. When placed side by side this makes 8 pins but the spare terminal on each end can be cut off. The lead when cut in half will easily reach the dash where a small hole can be drilled and a 3.5mm socket can be installed. Then you connect a 3.5mm male to male plug from your iPod headphone socket to the dash socket. I reckon all three bits could be purchased for under £10. I know this wont suit all you guys that want mega in car set ups but its a cheap simple solution for those that want to keep their factory head unit.

Having read that, I'm still confused at making the wire bit. o.O.
Maybe Jazz can make a few and then just sell 'em?! ;D So we can just bung in and away we go!
