Went to Kmart yesterday and saw something like the following. www.honeywell.com.au/business/holts/powerplus/tsealant.htmlI read the instruction on the can... it says when you have a tyre puncture, remove the nails if visible and release all the air from the affected tyre. followed by injecting the complete can of tyre goop into the tyre and away you go.. to the nearest tyre shop to get puncture fix.. Does anyone know exactly what it is or use this before? It would be a good tyre replacement.. at least 10Kg off the boot.. ;D ;D any comments would be appreicated.

Yeah it seals your puncture so you can get it to the tyre store to get it fixed. Some cars have these instead of a spare (some model Mercedes and Porsche). Its what I carry as the amps are in my spare well.
When the guys at the tyre store take your wheel off they get covered in goop and swear profusely at you but the stuff works unless you get a real bad puncture and the tyre comes right off the rim or the sidewall of your tyre has been badly slashed.
I wouldn't let the air out first. I'd just put the stuff in as you usually lose air because of a puncture.

Vividjazz, where do you get yours from? I know the Merc is using something call TIREFIT repair kit.. I doubt I can get it aftermarket.
I suppose I can get the one from Kmart but not sure if it is actually goop or some other sealant liquid..

Thought they were all pretty much the same. Just got mine from KMart for about $7 (different brand to the one pictured).
I've used it with a flat years ago when I had the Suzuki GTi. Thats how I know how much of a mess it makes when they take the tyre off. Never carried a spare back then either.
