Hi does anyone have an idea whether the subwoofer pictured below can be installed the same way as other subwoofers i.e. connecting the two wires up to the back? or does it require more complicated setups. Also, with those bazooker subs that have the amp installed inside, how would I go about putting that inside my car when I already have a 5 channel amp that connects to 4 speakers and the sub? Cheers.

SAS bazooka tube subs are available with and without built in amps so if you already have an amp just get the version without its own amp. It will be cheaper. Make sure the amp is correctly rated for the sub.
If an amp doesn't have enough power to drive your sub properly and you crank the volume it will cause the sub to clip and ultimately destruct. You can also do damage to the amp.
I'm not familiar with the Pyle sub pictured but I'm sure it hooks up the same way as any other sub. ie. If no built in amp then just a pair of speaker wires from an outboard amp.

I got the pyle amp today and there are two wires (one black one red) coming out of the top end (the left side as pictured). Is it okay to just connect these wires to the positive and negative speaker wires that I think are currently connected to my amp, or do I just connect these wires to the amp itself. Can't quite unscrew the sub, dunno which tools it is.

Depends on the amp to what options you have. What is the make and model of the amp? Hopefully they have a manual online for it. Are you wanting to run this in conjuction with another sub?
DO NOT connect the sub to the wires already running from the amp to your speakers. If your not sure where the existing wires run check them 1st.
The red will be positive and the black negative from the sub. Did the sub come with any manual?
Does this Pyle sub you purchased have its own inbuilt amp (active) or is it just a sub (passive)?
Whats the RMS rating of the Pyle sub and the RMS ratings for the amp?

I realised I probably asked a stupid question =) The wires were just plain speaker wires connected to the amp. They were just bunched up with other wires so I couldn't see where they were leading to.
The sub came with a manual but I have to unscrew the top end and currently I cant work out which tool is needed for it. The inside of the sub contains the frequency dial and eight spots where wires can be connected to. The black and red wires presumably have already been connected. I think I understand that all I probably need to do at this stage is to take out the existing speaker wires that connect to the amp and connect the black and red wires from the sub - it is a passive sub. The RMS rating of the sub is 200W, while the amp is 4 x 70 + 1 x 150W = 430W. It is a 5 channel amp that can be bridged to 1 output, if that is what you call it.
Would you think I still need to unscrew the top end and fiddle around with the frequency dials etc?
The amp is 'American Boss'.

You probably at least want to check what the dials are set to. You only want low frequencies going to the sub within the range it handles and you need to set the gains so the sub pairs up with the amp.
You don't want to bridge the amp if you are using it to power 4 speakers + the sub as doing so will reduce the number of channels.
150W RMS for a 200W RMS sub should be ok as long as you don't crank the volume too much to drive the amp into clipping.
Bare in mind the Boss power ratings even if supposedly RMS are a bit wishful.

I connected the sub last night. Still need to secure it otherwise its gonna roll around in the boot and brake.
The sound quality is amazing - I always thought the ported bandpass setup would create a better bass, but this one combines very well with the speakers to give a perfect overall sound effect.
Haven't checked the dials yet because I can't seem to find the right tools to open the top end. The gains currently seem okay as I can turn the speakers up without overly stressing out the bass.
