i have just created an online forum (not for cars) using the free ProBoards... but the URL is complicated...how do i make the URL to the exact address i want? example : www.rarara.com instead of rarara.proboards2.com??thanks |

hi.. sorry golfphunk... I have to move it to lounge as it has nothing to do with this forum... In answer to your question.. You need to get your own domain name.. eg. www.rarara.comAnd the associate the domain name to whatever website you may have... Usually, your domain name will stay in the address bar... but unfortunately, proboard does like it.. so I have to redirect instead... If we have enough funding.. we can probably use something like vbullentin and get someone to host it for us... looking at $500 to start and then $50 - $100 per month to run it.. depending on the traffic. That's why we chose proboard... F.O.C ;D |

Sorry .. forgot about this one... Hmm.. we use the cheapest option here.. since we do not have any funding... check the above mentioned domain hosting service to determine which you can afford. |

So, can you write something or not... as you know, we do not have any budget here since we dun charge ppl to become members.. this site is dedicated to Australian Jazz enthusiast and we are not trying to make money here like other forum.

It could be the domain hosting offer a main page before transferring you to the destination site..
