Just had my car serviced today. Service it every 5,000km. Had skipped the 20,000km service which occurred over Christmas so made this 25,000km one more major.
Changed the CVT fluid. Found hasn't been smooth since about 22,000km. Hanny's said it was best to change it every 20,000km. I have to strongly agree.
The car is the smoothest its ever been now.

Genuine Honda fluids but I didn't see the CVT fluid to know which one it was as ducked across the road for some Maccas for lunch. Suspect it would have been CVTF.
I was more concerned about not being able to get 2 bolts for the lower XForce strut bar to fit. It doesn't take any of the standard genuine Honda bolts because of course thats the only type of bolts Hannys have.
One of the mechanics gave me the details of a specialist bolt place just up the road where I'll try and get them on Monday if I can find the time.
Robert (Hannys) took it for a test drive and came back with a big smile which means it must be really good. Guaranteed he'll be putting strut bars on his Jazz after driving mine.
The CVT fluid isn't thaaat much so definitely worth it for the improvement and certainly better for the longevity of the transmission. I can just imagine the moaning from the Amercians if they had to change the CVT tranmission fluid every 20,000km. Better they have an auto which can handle more abuse.

Not sure if it us available yet... Which 2 bolts you are talking about? The H bar? I know the Lower Arm Bar mouted to the existing arm and the bolt from the existing arm should do it...

Yeah the H bar because you use 2 existing bolts + 2 new bolts to secure it. Got the bolts today from a specialist wholesale bolt place that one of the guys at Hanny's gave me the address to. They were really helpful considering I only needed 2 bolts and spent like $3 with them. Got the lower arm bar on already just needed the bolts for the H bar. The steering feels heaps more direct with the lower bar. Don't think the new CVT fluid is avail thru Honda Oz yet. I could have got Hannys to order some in from overseas but it really needed changing right away.
