How do DIY this one? I tried to read this one in Japanese.. and it says something like.. the light only turns on when you open the door (same as the roof light) and dim/off when you close the door... Is there such 3rd party after market lights?

afaik u'll have to run off the same circuit of the roof light.
a few ppl have done similar thing in HK and BBF's car have a pair of neon under the car that would only turn on when the door is open.
this is possible, u'll just need to do a bit more research.
but personally i want some lights when i criuse around not only when the door is open.

That is similar to my car. Ha Ha! i installed - 2 blue neon lights at the front (same as the pics). DIY: combined 2 neon into 1 elect. plug - 1 blue neon under the rear seat. No DIY at all, just hide the wire nicely - 1 green neon at the boot which is connecting to the boot light. DIY: cut the original elect. plug and connect to the boot light.
Total cost me AU$40 only (neon light $10 each)!!

sttitch, have you wired yours into your door so when door opens your neons are on? or are you feeding it through the cig. lighter?

nope..not thru the door. i connected the wire thru the cigarette scoket, so it'll be on wen the key is turn once. im probably not the best person asiansquard.. the way i did it was quite neat i may say.. but mayb not as proper. for mine.. i used a cigarette lighter extension (wth 3 or more socket inputs) tat has a long extension wire allowing me to run and hide it along the centre console all the way thru to underneath the seats. the reason why i run it to the seats is to allow an easy access to plug and unplug the neons. its just a matter of running it neat ..having long extensions.. and without cutting any wires. all was done thru the cigarette socket

sttich, have to say.. that looks cool... thanks for sharing...
I was thinking of running it under the dashboard instead of running it through centre console and under the seat (not a bad idea actually)...
Let see if Spoonie can get me those modulo one first.. ehehe!!!

sttich, red neon is good!! but red neon doesn't have sale, so i bought blue!! haha
My one is same as sttich one, i solder 2 neons into 1 cig. plug (so that i can save 1 elect. socket) also i DIY a LED "B Column" lights.
i try to take some photos tonight.
