I was surprised!!!
Was at my friend's place last week and I was parking on a slope, front facing downhill... and another friend's car was parked in front of me...
Having a few drinks and a few hours of catching up... Time to go home and in order for me to get out, I need to reverse uphill to avoid hitting the car in front... put my foot down on the accelerator.. and the next thing you know... from the bottom of the car.. "clunck, clunck, clunck..." rattle noise.. sounds like metal to metal knocking...
I was like " SH1T..... what was that..." The only thing that
I have under the car were:
1. Lower Arm Bar. 2. Extractor (headers) 3. Mufflers.. 4. Bpipes...
Anybody has similiar issue? The most recent thing I've done to the car was installing the bpipe.. unless the bpipe is hitting something..... I've also tighten the lower arm bar as well which I don't think it's the problem...
Can someone shed some lights here.. Jazzpro?
The funny thing is: I took the car out a few nights ago and tried to hear the rattles again.. and reversing out from the garage.. the same noise can be heard but very soft.. after a few spin... tried to do it again but the rattles is gone... Looks like it only comes when the car is cold..

I'm no expert, but being that the sound happens when the engine (and exhaust) is cold, I would think the exhaust is probably to blame. Would it be possible for you to have somebody reverse the car while you lay next to it...try to hear or locate the sound from the outside?

at last .. someone reply.. ha! thanks.. the_saint...
I am 80% sure it is from the exhaust.. the last thing I've installed is the bpipe and before that, I didn't notice such rattle.. It pipe could be in contact with something.. It's a bit hard to check if it only does that in a slope... not much slope at my place!!!
Was trying to find out if any of the stock exhaust Jazzes here have this issue... Some of us have the xforce bpipe installed too.. but no comments from them...

Thanks Jazzpro.. I will go under the car again this weekend... looks like there is more rattling problem for the 05 model than the pre-05.

I used to have an old Honda Civic that did the same thing - check both the exhaust hanger rubber / and the engine mounts. My civic only banged in reverse under load too. Turned out that specific load on the entire driveline flexed a slightly iffy motor mount, in turn pushing the exhaust pipe up against the floorboards. After awhile it also took a toll on a couple of the hangers. A new rear motor mount and a couple of non-oem rubber exhaust hanger blocks fixed what I thought was the entire driveline going to hell.

Updates:
Check the bottom part and I've even rock the bpipe to see if it's touching any part of the chassis... doesn't look like it..
Damn.. I am stuck now.. I am thinking it would be the lower arm bar being loose again.. I thought my mechanic tighten it for me 2 months ago.. will keep you guys posted.
