Kentris, Have a listen to these.. When my Jazz was pretty new, I think less than 2000km, the ticking and tapping sound of the engine was very loud... If you have this sound, I guess it is normal, it just take time to run in (please note that this could be recorded when the bonnet was open.. I cannot remember) Engine tapping and clicking sound when new (114K in size)My car has done about 16,000km now and this is how it sounds like... (please note the sound is recorded when the bonnet is close, I just quickly recorded just now..) Even though it still has some clicking sound but overall, it is very little and I believe it is normal... Current enigine sound (457K in size)Hope this help... yes, no need to worry, the clicking sound just comes from the injector. it's sure very very normal.

My engine is quite noisy now. Main reason I think is because I haven't serviced it for a while. It is badly overdue. Hopefully I havne't done that much damage. I havne't changed the oil from last service either, which was around 12000km ago

i'ts ok if you haven't sevice for a while, the bad thing is you also didn't change the engine oil since the last service. the noisy sound is comes because your oil almost fail to lubricate the engine

Sounds normal man...you're always going to get "ticking" noises from the injectors and the miriad of other moving parts in the engine.
My "ticks" along at idle as well

I am too lazy to change the oil myself. Firstly also because I really don't have much clue. I think I should learn haha. Most of my driving is freeway. Hardly do I reve higher than 3000rpm. Unless there are 5 people in the car and air con is running.
