Here is a scanned image of an EPA letter regarding air intakes, bovs and ecu's so if cops give u a defective notice for having a pod filter..tell them EPA approves it.

The rules are even more anal in NSW! Good luck paying for ADR certification and lab tests. Still won't save you from hassles when Mr Krispy Kream is having a bad day and wanting to ping someone - anyone.
Every state is slightly different despite attempts to have national road rules. I think WA and NT are the most lack and NSW & VIC the most hardline.

Pod filter in Sydney is illegal.
To make it legal, the pod must be fitted in and enclosure (ie sealed box)

i know for sure that it is definately illegal to have a power intake. every modification on a car in sydney in a defect. f@#ken not a very nice persons. but think about it. whic cop will pull over a jazz and lift the bonnet.. it'll be a Laugh Out Loud

Jazz would have to be close to the ultimate sleeper. Check lights, tyres maybe but they aren't going to want to pop the bonnet unless they want to see just how small the engine is. Some cars have got air cond which are bigger.

lol. true.. far out ronald, u reply so quick. cops are naive about cars. they probaly think a air con filter is turbo and the radiator is the intercooler/ manifold. lol
