la here and la there.. DLS... MRFIT... Ed need some replacement brakepad.. he has done all the homework to find out where to source some elsewhere cheaper as the HONDA one are way too expensive... Anyway, after he tried it, I will ask him to do a write up... Please note this is not performance type brakepad, e.g. Green Stuff, Blue Stuff.. this is solely for general street use. wei.. so where is ed's results??? after 2 months still hasnt finished his homework? hahahah.......

Jazzpro~~ last time I mentioned about my braking problem. I thought my brakepad is running out, so I tried to search for aftermarket pad (not those cheap one that will produce sharp noice and scratching your disc badly). however, I realise that there is no aftermarket pad for jazz either at those famouse Autobahn or supercheap auto~! the Autobahn manager said to me that the could only help me to order those normal pad which would cost AUD70~ he said the quality might not be that good. End up I was thinking to get Endless pad coz that's the only pad I could get for better one in Brisbane.~! but I don't really want it coz Im not a racer anyway. or the third option would be servicing my car at honda dealer. my friend said they will Charge U AUD200+=, so it would be worth to get endless + installation and it would only cost AUD240~. Jazzpro, yeah~ U need to machine the disc before U install the new brake pad, the previous pad might scratch your disc and create an uneven surface. if U just use the new pad without machine the disc, your new pad might only "eat" at one side coz the surface is uneven. like my situation, the Honda technician presume that my pad is new and the previous owner didn't machine the disc~ but hard to tell unless they help me to machine the dics. Some of the place could also machine the used pad too~! However, your disc could only machine 1-2 times~ after that U might need to change a new disc for your car

You have to be careful with real race brake pads because they need a considerable time to warm up. Normally 10-15 minutes of heavy braking (race track heavy). They aren't for road use because if you hit the anchors without them warmed up your not going to stop and the abs ain't going to save you because pulsing brakes that aren't gripping aren't going to make them grip until they reach required operating temperature.
Discs get a mirrored finish on them over time and need machining. If the discs are warped (badly) then machining them won't do anything they just need replacing. You can machine car discs quite a lot of times as they are an aweful lot thicker than motorcycle discs. Mechanics machine discs all the time to try and eliminate brake noise.
You should be able to order the brake pads Honda stock as a spare part without having one of the Honda's dealers 1st year apprentices change them for you hidden behind closed doors in their lab (workshop). Just like servicing your car it doesn't take a whole day to change brake pads except at a Honda dealer.

ic~~ but regarding to the Endless brake pad~ I dont think 50-300'C pad would be consider race type~ as even normal pad is also 50-300'C~ but if it is above 300'C e.g. 300-600'C then it might be considered as racing type~ so far my rough rubbing noice still occur eventhough the previous mechanic said it was caused by the new hard Honda pad, and the Honda mechanic said it was becoz of new pad without machine the disc~..grrr.. but even the disc is rough with new pad yet it won't produce this kind of rough rubbing.... ><~ I guess the best way is to machine the disc and see hoe it goes ~
