Hi guyz, does anyone have any problem with your jazz? well, I just wanna share the diagnosis with U guyz so that we can know whether the problem is just only for your car or same as everyone~ well, I make the first one to say this out~
03, Vti:
1. when I swith on the air-con, thre's something smelly come out for the first 1min... it's not those undry smell but it some kind like a heavy new car smell... becoz it is heavy smell it turn the normal smell into a pretty bad smell~ it runs normal after that minute..
2. as U guyz know that the rattle sound for your jazz, it only occur at the leftside (near the edge) when the car reach 100km/h. however, I just found out that it rattle most of the time below 100km/h as well. something is loose inside which I couldn't see ..
3. my front disc got heavy rubbing sound when braking the car. the first time I sent my car for inspection, they couldn't find this problem as it happen less, but now it happen most of the time so I will send my car for a check up again, presume the brakepad is not that good.
4. for manual user, there's a "chic" sound (not very obvious) not U shift or free your gear(not this sound),but when U release your cluth, then u can hear the "chic" sound not so obvious. I could only hear it when my music is off and outdoor is very silent.
well, the rest of it will be fine like new~! Im a very sensitive driver~ maybe for question 1 and 4 might not be the diagnosis ^^

my drivers side window doesn't go up properly
when i pull it fully..it's meant to go all the way to the top automatically..but with my one..it goes up nearly to the top..then goes back down to half way =\

asiansquad, I guess your situation would be either the window motor or the angle of the window frame is not that correct, shouldnt be the problem as it can be fixed by any place~~ grr, my braking is freaking me out..><~ Im wondering would that improve the quality of soundproof or door quality by inserting some insulation inside the door... as I could hear the sound very obvious either from inside or outside... plus when closing the door," bang" sound would be heard eventhough I close it slowly~ feeling like those crappy car quality~~  ~ |

I do have this problem.. but only for the first 1 minute or so.. didn't bother me much because I had a 20 year old car before and it is like 100x worst... I remember someone was talking about this in oxhonda.. and I am sure it was spoonie.. but he is missing in action at the moment.. let me catch up with him tonight via MSN and see if he can response to that...

Mine rattles varies.. depending on the speed, temperature, luck.. hehe!! I know where it is.. I will try to take a photo and show you where.. and will definately get the Honda Tech to fix this up...

Seriously nick, I think you need to bring it to the dealers to fix this up.. yours is 03 Vti and should still have warranty..

HEHEH!!! No such problem with CVT.. sorry.. no comments.

Or try to do this trick... (I remember the Honda Tech thought me this.. for auto up and down but also resetting the windows memory...  ) Push the button down all the way.. until the window is completely down... hold the button down for 3 seconds... Then do the same for 'up' and pull and hold for 3 seconds after the windows is completely up... See if it fixes it... |

U really understand about your jazz wor ^^~~ well, I guess I will try to bring my car for the brake checkup and see how it goes, but still have to wait until I finish my exam. any guyz got any diagnosis and would like to show us? those very minor problem also can speak it up` ^^

for me i got this weird sound wen i press on the brake slightly it squeekss its a weird sound its hard to explain .. wen i geta service done imma ask about dat... my jazz is manual and i dont have the clicking sound ...

Jazzpro knows much more... ;D The only problem I have with the Jazz... 1. Rattles from the left hand side of the dashboard occasionally.. I know what it is.. will get it looked at next time.. 2. CVT got a bit noisy at times.. but after changing the CVT oil 2 weeks ago, it seems to be quieter.. 3. I ocassionally heard rattles from the engine bay.. sounds like metal to metal knocking sound.. cannot confirm yet.. I might need to double check this.. 4. Fuel consumption not as good as others.. hehehe.. does this consider an issue? |

Jay, keep us inform on the progress.. it seems like a common problem on a few Jazzes .. I would be surprise if they have a bad batch of brake pads which cause all these squeeksssss... |

Jay, I guess it should be the brake pad quality... U sure your pad is ori Honda parts? Ah cash, I will wait for your new thread about fixing the rattle sound. I guess it's inside the drawer which I couldn't see it.... Ah cash, regarding your fuel consumption... well, U can try to smell your exhaust after running in or warm up the engine... if the "dead gas" smell is very strong.. I guess U might need to send your car for a tune as it cause incomplete combustion. "# I didn't ask U to keep smelling it coz it's Carbon monoxide, poisonous GAS, I don't give a shit care if U faint on the road arrr~ #"I hardly smell any dead gas when the engine is being warmed. but during cold start the dead gas is pretty strong... ~~ would that be another issue again? hehehe |

the aircon smell is normal bruh, the use between the aircond off and on and outside air and inside air.

Instead of just a pollen filter that fits in behind the glove box they do a pollen filter with deoderiser (can't spell) that would help the aircon smell.
The aircon smell isn't bad at all compared to my AU Falcon Ute. I'm sure something must have crawled in there and died, even my farts smelt better.

The rattles comes from the dashboard.. and certainly not inside the dashboard or glovebox.. The only way to fix this for the time being.. is to give it a good whack.. ;D ;D... No lah.. probably just push the dashboard down firmly.. and the rattle will go away.. long run, I have to get Honda to fix it.. Everytime I come home, it is already dark.. make it very difficult to take pictures.. |

mine doesn't charge my fone..but the light on the charger comes on
