I've heard talk of a DOHC 3 Phase or i-VTEC L-Series Engine to be offered in the top of the range 2006 makeover of the Fit in Japan.
Surely this would put out a wad of power.
Anyone heard anything?

Rumors with the picture indicate as well that the top of range might be loaded with the 1.7L VTEC engine, currently found in the Civic VTi-S. As mentioned in an article found, the engine option for the new Fit/Jazz sounds pretty exciting (but not confirm yet): - 1.3L VTEC SOHC - 1.3L iVTEC-DSI - 1.5L iVTEC-DSI - 1.5L VTEC DOHC Dimension wise, length might be increase by only 20mm, while width will be increase to 1695mm (a figure for full size mid size sedan in Japan).
