Does that mean if you are going for a aftermarket exhaust system, the cat would be separated from the downpipe? I've got the impression that it is...

Does that mean if you are going for a aftermarket exhaust system, the cat would be separated from the downpipe? I've got the impression that it is... depends if u change the downpipe or not like what i have now is: xforce header, stock downpipe + cat, fujitsubo bpipe and fujitsubo muffler when u buy the xforce header, it comes with a downpipe with a resonator but no cat. You can choose to install it, but if u have a late04/05 model jazz, be aware you'll get a malfunciton indicator. i had that on for a week..there was no cat..the car was pretty loud especially with that custome muffler i had. i then changed back to the stock downpipe which has the stock cat attacked to it. if u wanna change the downpipe, you'll have to get a cat welded to it or drive around without a cat and have the malfunction indicator lamp on

otherwise you can take the option of getting the downpipe from xforce with a cat so that it does not have that malfunction indicator come on

OHHH,,, yeh i get it... what with the cat? i hear people talk about the cat.. Yeh jazzpro can u pm me ur mobile.. im thinking of purchasin full exhuast the cat is what stops the pollution from coming out of your car. u can choose to not have a cat, this will bring out ur cars potential but then it will also lead you into an epa fine of $10,000.00
