Hi all
I just asked the Honda dealer how much for dark tinting and she quoted me $460 I was wondering is that a good price or can i get cheaper tinting?
Also I wanted the front grill from Honda. Wow $395 dollars for that little thing? or is that normal price.
Anyways look forward to your replies.
Best Regards

Honda dealers are only there for the benefit of Honda owners. I'm sorry must of fell asleep and was dreaming.
The Honda dealer pays the Window Tinter less than half that amount they quoted you. Much better to go direct to the tinter. They won't give you the same price as the dealers but it will still be considerably less. Everyone benefits except the dealer who adds no value.
As for genuine Honda parts I've come to the conclusion anything I want from now on I'm ordering from any Honda dealers in Thailand. A fraction of the price in Japan and not even on the same planet as Australian dealers. No worries about taxes or duties when shipped to Australia thanks to that wonderful Free Trade Agreement (FTA). More often than not the postage / shipping is more than alot of items.
To give you an example of the list (full retail price that no one actually pays) price for some parts A conservative exchange rate is 30 baht to the Australian dollar New front windscreen glass 2,350 baht Entire side mirror assembly (per side) 1,250 baht Entire front headlight assembly (per side) 1,550 baht New Bonnet 3,200 baht Honda Oil Filter 220 baht 4L Honda Oil 300 baht Honda Transmission Fluid 130 baht
Remember its the same genuine Honda parts with the same warranty just not the rediculous Australian dealer markups. Makes you start to realise just how much profit Australian dealers really make.
I only wish we didn't have to buy the car itself from the millionaire dealers. I'd actually rather pay more and buy it direct from Honda. Australian Honda dealers are oxygen bandits. They serve no useful purpose, don't add any value to the products or brand and are instead rewarded for amongst the world's worst service.

Also $300 is quite ok and do you only do the side windows? What about back window or what % do you do back so that you can see when you reverse.
lol I am very new cars and don't know much.

Yeah Honda is no worse than other manufacturers dealers. They still make ok margin on new cars despite them always crying poor. It a bit like the world's richest men being down to their last few billion (your heart just goes out to them struggling). For every new car buyer who manages to screw them down a bit on price there are ten suckers who get taken to the cleaners and sold all sorts of addons like $500 tinting and rust protection. My favourite was a mate who bought an all alloy car and they still tried to sell him rust protection. Shows the dealers product knowledge and lack of any common sense. They do make far more on servicing and parts than new car sales but its the sales that get the suckers coming back to them for the life of the vehicle for all the servicing because they tell them they won't have warranty otherwise (utter and total lies). 100% profit on all parts would be one thing but 1000%+ on some things thats just rude.

Honda Thailand web site. You'll get even better prices in person at the dealers. They are open and honest (2 words not in Australian dealers vocabulary). One of the selling points of Honda in Thailand is low maintenance costs. They often show decreased costs between old and new models as an important selling feature. Not everyone in Thailand is rich like Australian Honda dealers seem to think we all are.

Well I haven't got the jazz yet but I park on the roof of sunnybank plaza as my crappy company doesn't have enough parking spaces in TS Yeah I just want legal tinting, also will the darkest legal be good enough to still see out the back window, finally does anyone have the number for the tinting guy or where abouts in sunnybank plaza he is? First thing I plan to do when i get the jazz is Tinting, number plates and a exhaust tip.
