wah~~ so expensive~!, but I just wanna change the air filter not the rest e.g. filter box, pipe ... Nick, if you own a 2005 Jazz.. I don't think you can find replacment filter such as Trust, K&N... If you have the previous model, you can probably change the panel filter to Trust and some other brand... (I think K&N do not have one for AUS model)... There are some debate about the performance of the replacement panel filter and a full POD filter kit...

Anyone tried other brand instead of Simota? Wickee told me that Tony's engine was blown off becoz of water entering to the engine block through the open air filter~ that's why on the safe side I prefer using the original filter box and hood pipe other than an open mushroom air filter..

Na.. that's not true... only he himseld knows the reason.. and definately not water entering the block... from what I see from his pics, more like a manufacturing defects to me.. or probably the block not able to cope with the push.

With a pod (assuming there is no piping from under the bumper) you are only drawing air from inside the engine bay or from the upper front grill. there shouldn't be any water unless you're driving thru very flooded area. the below pic shows the intake for factory filter. the opening is much further down: my guess for Tony's failure is more to do with lack of oil inside the engine during heavy corning at track days, rather than water entering the engine.....

I mean not for hard drive but normal drive ^^ with more power and response, u sacrifice fuel... by how much??? u wont even feel it ..... we not toking crazy mod and gain from pod filter.... its like ur nose, if its stuffy u breathe harder... but when the clear the stuffiness, u feel relieve..... thats all.... ur car will rev better and sucks as much as air as u wanna when pressing hard... if normal, its also easier for the car to suck in the air, same volume with lesser restriction.... of cos, pod filter must be combined with other mods to achieve its best potential... so all is part of it.... not just one mod....

I have the jazz 1.3 and i have put the k&n kit 57i.Here in Greece it costs 200euro.Simota costs 90-100euro.The car goes much better and over 4000rpm has a very racing noise.

anotonijazz, did U change your muffler ?? my current fuel rate is 6.1L/100km. however, I feel like my 1.5 is not really powerful~ that's why I've been thinking to change my muffler + air filter to gain NA performance ^^

muffler doesn't make any differrences to your performance...it's the bpipe, down pipe, extractors and air filter that makes the difference...the muffler is just for sound.
