These are the plate holders I bought from Ebay (search "German plate holder") for around A$50 incl postage for the pair. Comes in a relatively softer plastic.
The advantage is that the plates do not need to be drilled so they can be clipped onto the car without screws. You mount the holder in the existing holes and then put the plates underneath and there's a surrounds that clips on around the plate.
Not the best pic but you get what I mean. One thing though is that the plate holder is a bit "flimsy" so you may need to screw another hole in the bumper to hold the plate holders tight or put some metal brackets inside it to keep it sturdy. The front ones will slightly flappy about but the anchor to which it's held on the bumper isn't that strong either (but the Jazz isn't too bad). Clips hold them in securely at least. That's the main thing and the plates won't drop off.
