Hi
I'm Chris and I live south of Hobart in Tassie. I have a 2003 Red VTI-S with no modifications. I bought it new and had to wait 3 months for delivery.
It's had a 2 month stint touring the mainland, going as far as Airlie Beach, and out to Apollo Bay. Most of which was done with a 450kg trailer in tow for the camping gear and bikes etc...
It's now just clocked up 95,000km, and the tyres were replaced with Michelin Pilot Precedas at 75,000km. I have run it on 95 octane unleaded since new

When Hell freezes over!
I kind of made a promise to my wife that I wouldn't touch it, and the trade off was that we could get the VTI-S instead of the VTI.
I had a V6 Magna with a nice sports muffler, but she and the kids hated it. I painted the grill and some other details black, and they hated it. I shortened the gear lever, and guess what, she hated it.
The car before that was a Twin Cam Corolla, and it had the same basic mods. It sounded just right to me, but when the kids came along, I had to ditch the sports muffler. It was just a bit too loud, and droned from 80-120kmh, which is right where we drove at 90% of the time
She's just not into wasting time or money on stuff like that, and doesn't like to actually hear the car making a noise. We only have one car, so I will have to wait until I have a bit more money to get a car for me!

Don't laugh, but I have my mind set on a Datsun 1600. I know they are old school, but I was around in the 70's when they were very popular for rallying, and I really love the idea of doing up one and doing a few club events.
They are fun to drive, but not fast enough to get into serious trouble with.
