Bought at Autobahn, Turp costs AUD4.99, Filter treatment oil costs AUD19.99.
st step, pour the turp into a fastfood plastic container or ice-cream container. Better to use exactly the same size with the filter so that U don't waste any excessive turp or cleaning the filter part to part. after the filter is being rinsed, U can see lots of dirts and particles that wash away by the turp. Better to rinse twice inorder to make sure all the dirts have been removed completely.
nd step, turp might not be that good to the engine or hard to mix with new treatment oil. so better to rinse the filter with water + abit dish washing detergent to remove trapped dirts and smelly turp
rd step, make sure to dry the filter... recommend to use fan to blow dry the trap water. When the filter is being dried... u can feel that the filter is hard and dry. Well, time to apply for the treatment oil.
th step, use any plastic bag, insert the filter and filter oil together. Work the treatment through the foams until completely treated leaving no dry areas. Squeeze out excess treatment until all excess is removed. It is hard to determine how much filter oil needs to be used. but as long as the filter is covered with filter oil, then that's it. U can prefer to use back the leftover filter oil. However, I don't think it's a good idea. so don't pour too much out in the first place. to make sure the filter is not too wet, I press the filter with papertowel to absorb any excess oil. Man, the treatment oil is very sticky... feel like oil + honey~! It is better no to make the filter too wet because I can't imagine what happen if the oil flow into the engine, just like the consequences of water entering to the engine ~!. give a light whack to make sure there no oil coming off easily. but I guess it should be no problem coz the oil is so sticky~!
th step, remove the original filter and then put the new filter in~~ well, that's it!~!!!!
