u mean there is glue where the "H" badge use to be? or u want to remove that panel completely?
"proper" removal contains perhaps pulling the rear door apart, u'll need to pull the plastic cover off to reach the screwes that hold that panel in place i might do a write up soon how to get to it, as i kinda pull apart that rear door of mine

Zen, that would be great mate if you can do a write up.. I was told you have to pull the door plastic panel off to change the badge but personally I haven't tried it before.. I know a couple of guys in Melbourne have change theirs to TypeR badge but they are out of the country at the moment.

sorry guys... wot i meant was the JAZZ badge on the right where most of the ppl change the badge into the "FIT" badge... but thanks for the info on the H badge too...
last time i tried to change the H badge into the Red "H" badge...and tried using the method that z3n mentioned... i was stuck when removing the plastic cover so i ended up snapping the two pins on the original badge and it came off easily... but yeah if u can do a write up and with pics of how u remove the plastic panel would be cool...
back to the topic... i still got glue stain on after removing the "JAZZ" badge.. do i need a particular oil to remove it?

erm~~ all I know would be using alcohol~ however, I guess it might damage the paint as well~~ there's still have those products that could remove glue stain easily~ no idea at the moment and that's why I hold not to change the badge first ~ ~~

oh, glue stains, hmmm the method i was told how to remove stickers or anything which is adheasive, is to apply heat to it. by doin so, it causes the glue to become less sticky and easier to remove. not sure if this will help in your case since u've already remove the 'jazz' badge.

I see.. this one you are talking about? There is some sort of solution (a bit like oil liquid) which you can get from kmart or hardware store... just mention to them that you need to remove the left over sticky stuff from the self adhesive tapes.. they should know what you are talking about.. Another method would be to use your fingers and rub it off.. don't overdo it, you will end up with sore fingers.. ;D

OK .. I went to the garage to look for the bottle.. It's called De-solve-it.. It's meant to remove sticky glues left over by blue tacs, sticky tapes, self adhesive tapes.. etc..
The finger trick work for me... ;D ;D

hey guys i am going to remove the badge soon. my method of removing the badge is to use a fishing line and a hairdryer. blow the badge using the haridryer so that the adhesive gets hot and kinda melt and then use a fishline to scrape the badge off. this will prevent any scratches to the paint. p.s: philip taught me this.

Kev, if you use hair dryer, wouldn't it melt and leave more sticky stuff on the paint? that's the whole idea -- to melt the sticky tape on the jazz badge so that it can be removed easily. you can always clean away the residue with some lotion or something.
