Take the centre console out: (Auto) 1: Move to "L" 2: Unscrew the gear knob 3: Take the gear know out 4: Take the cover, which is next to the hand brake, out 5: to remove the plastic lock, use something thin to press the small circle (yellow circle in the pic). The plastic lock will come out 6: unscrew the screws at the rear side of the console 7: Move the gear back to "P" 8: life up the rear part of the console 9: reach your hand to the back of the socket, unplug the socket 10: slide the console backward and take the console out

Good stuff David...
I assume the purpose of removing the centre console is to change one with the arm rest?

Good stuff David... I assume the purpose of removing the centre console is to change one with the arm rest? no! no need to take the centre console to install the after market arm rest. I removed the centre console because it has sth problem on my socket (no elelct., but not the problem of fuse)! I fixed it already!

well u'll still need to unscrew the gear knob instead. Yes! u are right! but unscrew the gear knob is Step 2. Step 1 is "Move to "L"", and no gear "L" manual car! haha!!
