[Gold Coast]: Trip to Oreilly's

Hi guys

David and his housemate and I just went to Oreilly's yesterday (06 Aug 2005). It's about 1 hr drive southwest of Gold Coast and the roads are very winding and narrow (worse than Great Ocean Road). It's part of Lamington National Park and there's a Treetop Walk at Oreilly's which is about 20 meters above ground. There is also a point where you can climb another 10 meters up to a top of a tree to see the veiws of the national park.

OK.. this reminds me of the Tahune Forest Airwalk, Hobard Tasmania which I went to early this year... The pathway leading out to the end where you can clearly see the Huon river. Fantastic view.

david was the driver while i was the passenger. but i reckon the jazz handled it well. it was able to conquer the slopes with 3 people in the car. not forgetting to mention that david's jazz is a gli (1.3L)!!!

Tahune Forest Airwalk is so COOL!!! Much better then the one in O'Reilly!!

The handling is ok! the road to O'Reilly just like ¬î©ú¤s¸ô in Initial D, so many U corners (180 degree corners)! One part of the road let me feel i was driving a 555 WRX, coz' need to pass through a forest and the surface of the road is very rough!

I am sure i won't drive my Jazz to there again, coz' my one is GD1. not GD2 or GD4!!

BTW, in the "The Climb" pic, that 2 ladies are not us!
