My uncle has a large supply of Tanabe exhausts and I just found out he has an exhaust system for GD1/GD3!!!
Now I'm actually tempted to buy it off him and fit it to my GD5. But I dunno whether it'll fit, but I have a hunch that it will fit considering they have the same layout just different sized engine?

is the stock jazz exhaust one full exhaust? meaning if I want to fit it on, I have to cut it up and then weld it? Or can it be put together with clamps?

i believe all exhaust systems are put together by bolts. hence the term: bolt on exhaust/muffler.
its unlikely u'll need to cut/weld if its specifically a jazz exhaust. but check out the pictures floating around somewhere of how they look like
i remember there's an excellent exhaust article on fitfreaks .

Hmm, I been told the jap spec cars are different fitment to the euro/uk spec so will require some modification to the exhaust ?

well as the years go by, the authoraties go through some more explict testing to determie whether or not the car's co2 emmission is correct with the numbers stated on websites/brochures. its probably only minor changes to the exhaust, however it should be still bolt on. u gotta think about it, if someone wants to bring the car into honda to fix a broken exhaust system, i doubt that it would be one long piece, or being welded together. think about all the time and labour required to weld and unweld as oposed to bolt on bolt off.
