Just curious as to what other ausfit members had before they got there jazz. And how the jazz stacks up against there old car.

I've only been driving a year so technically the Jazz is my first car. Although I have driven a Renault Clio RT 1.4 for a few months before that. I gotta say though, the older generation of Clios were notoriously known for their goddamn super hard clutch. Just was a pain to use, compared to Jazz, it's really nice and soft

had/still have my 94 swift. Both are good, swift can really thrash it around, super light car too. my CRV is ok as well except cant do fast corners as scared it might roll over. LOL

Cars I've owned prior to Jazz in order Falcon AUII XLS Ute Holden HQ race cars Suzuki Swift GTi Mazda 121 - same shape as the old Festiva not the loaf of bread one Fiat 124 sports Ford Laser
As for things I've driven there isn't enough space and I can't even remember them all but the list of what I haven't driven might be smaller.
The biggest thing that struck me about the Jazz is how well it compared to the Suzuki GTi considering the Jazz isn't made out to be a hot hatch and 2ndly how a drop from 154kw in the ute to 81kw in the Jazz wasn't that much because of the weight difference. As for Honda quality it beats pretty much anything including BMW, Merc, Porsches, Jaguar and makes Holden look absolutely 3rd world (those rebadged Daewoos would actually be an improvement on a Commodore).

Previous and current cars include:
Honda CRV Sport Toyota Camry Advantage Mitsubishi Lancer MR Ford Telstar GL
Overall the Jazz VTi does pretty well because the engine is perfectly balance with the weight of the car. However, the build quality I found is not as good as other brands. I.e. I've noticed the door arm rest of the driver side on the Jazz to be cracking open. And the CRV left rear passenger side door fabric threading is coming a bit loose.
The design is great, but the quality, not so.

yeah i was just curious as to what other people thought about there jazz. I bought mine through a twist of fate, originally i was meant to get a civic sedan but then my mother who was helping me finance this car didnt read some of the blah blah print & they conned her into signing for a civic sedan ex-demo then came the bs to try & get out of the deal, then they turned into complete a## holes & threatened to sue us if we didnt continue with the sale. She saw the jazz said that's a nice car & bought it. (word of warning never ever buy from honda north in osborne park). In the beginning i didnt like the jazz because i didnt get the choice but over time it has grown on me till i realised how much i loved my jazz when i went on holiday. But in comparision to other cars i've had it was alot more reliable.
Cars which i've owned: Mercedes Benz 300CE (never ever getting another one) Honda Jazz Wrx Sti (had to sell because previous owner over boosted engine) Supra TT (couldnt ever love it)
& i agree with all vivid said about performance, its very suprising how quick it is considering how little power it's got:P

Nissan Silvia S13 turbo the car drank oil like there was no tomorrow - had to refill every 300kms. Actually I wrote the car off in like 1 month (nearly wrote myself off too ) because I wasnt used to such light cars. Good car for drifting, but for Australian roads on wet days it can be suicide. Much prefer the Jazz.

Yeah the jazz is practical & saves in the hip pocket when it come to filling up... thats one thing i found horrid with the sti i was averaging 18-20 litres of fuel per 100km & when easing along 16-18... It was horrid, & since it was tuned to run on ultimate every single BP i saw i would have to go & buy fuel.. where as with the jazz i can get over 1 weeks worth of driving without worrying about it...
One other question for all you jazzer's what fuel do you use? e.g. regular, premium etc.

My previous cars hahaha!!
Proton Wira 1.5 (Malaysia) Nissan Sentra (Malaysia) Hyundai Excel Mitsubishi Magna
Forget about the that I drove in Malaysia.. but overall, Wira is pretty crap quality and the Nissan Sentra is pretty good...
Excel is crap as everyone is aware of.. Mitsubishi Magna is the BEST, loads of power because it's a V6 and nothing ever goes wrong with the car.. only one thing is the fuel consumption due to it's fast acceleration and power.. it drank double of what my Jazz is at the moment.. So, have to get rid of it sadly... nice car though.
Jazz is good... however, I have to say .. the current Swift handles better than the Jazz.. ;D ;D and more fun to drive.. but quality and praticality wise.. Jazz beats it.
