i like the exterior... kinda like a cross between suzuki swift and "new" astra. i think i saw pics of this car a long time ago, as a prototype called "Nissan C-Note" - imo, c-note sounds nicer than tiida. cute anyway.

i bet when the Tiida comes to Aus, we won't get the keyless engine start..... i mean, to be fair, we really need to compare the new jazz that's due in 2006 to this new Tiida...... right?

I remember constantly seeing the ugly nob of the head of Renault a few years back in Japan when they bailed out Nissan. They are obviously part sharing to keep down costs and that whole car just stinks of cost cutting. Renault I'm sure has brought their famous reliability of turn the key or push the button and prey it starts today.
Since Nissan pulled out of manufacturing in Australia they have just been bobbing along in the market.
Good chance they will go the MG, Rover here today gone tomorrow route. I think Mitsubishi has about the same chance of survivng. "If you find a better built, better backed car then you better buy that Honda and give the Mitsu a big miss."
No.2 car manufacturer in Japan is Honda. Not bad for the world's biggest motorcycle manufacturer.

Saw a Tiida when I was in HK a couple of months ago... looks great I think.. but the Tiida is more a Corolla/Civic competitor than a Jazz.

OK. was reading the newspaper "The Australian" and saw a review of the new Mazda2 Maxx. www.theaustralian.news.com.au/common/story_page/0,5744,16591329%255E13232,00.html It is highly appraised.. and on the newspaper (not on the net), Honda Jazz score 3 out of 5 stars for performance whereas the Mazda2 score 3.5 stars. From what I was told, my friend test drove the previous model Mazda2 and reckon it is gutless. The Jazz got more guts than the 2. That's why he got a Jazz instead.. I am not sure about the facelifted 2 though. The Jazz got 1kw less than the 2 but gain on the torque.. The VTi Jazz is also lighter. Some of the comments on the newspaper re Jazz. 1. Ageing 2. Some of the plasticky feel in the interior So, the new Jazz.. where are you?
