Can anyone help me with servicing costs that have been done on their Jazz recently?
I'm up for a 10,000km servicing and I found that when I had my first service done in Perth, Burswood Honda charged like $46~ + GST and from what I gather at Meville Honda they only charge $22~ + GST.
I felt ripped especially when oil filter part difference was $6.00 - that's like a cost of a meal. I can't comment on oil as I don't know what is used at Meville but will find out tomorrow.
Burswood charged $26~ for 1 x 5L FEO High Perf oil
Anyone got comparisons they can share.
Actually... Here is a costing back in October 2004 for a Jazz VTI-S CVT
Intervals Hours Costs 1000 0 $22.23 5000 0.54 $109.09 10000 1.22 $174.38 15000 0.54 $109.09 20000 1.85 $230.86 25000 0.54 $109.09 30000 1.22 $174.38 35000 0.54 $109.09 40000 3.5 $520.23 45000 0.54 $109.09 50000 1.22 $174.38 55000 0.54 $109.09 60000 1.85 $238.62 65000 0.54 $109.09 70000 1.22 $174.38 75000 0.54 $109.09 80000 3.5 $581.80 85000 0.54 $109.09 90000 1.22 $174.38 95000 0.54 $109.09 100000 1.85 $230.86 105000 0.54 $109.09 110000 1.22 $174.38 115000 0.54 $109.09 120000 3.5 $632.70 125000 0.54 $109.09 130000 1.22 $174.38 135000 0.54 $109.09 140000 1.85 $230.86 145000 0.54 $109.09 150000 1.22 $174.38 155000 0.54 $109.09 160000 3.5 $581.80 165000 0.54 $109.09 170000 1.22 $174.38 175000 0.54 $109.09 180000 1.85 $238.62 185000 0.54 $109.09 190000 1.22 $174.38 195000 0.54 $109.09 200000 3.5 $613.18
So prices may have gone up or whatever but can anyone get same info?
I'm just a bit pissed that there's no uniformaty with Honda Servicing. If they used different brand for parts fair enough but if it's the same... man I'm mad.

I think the labour charges are the big difference. Mechanics are hell more expensive in Sydney. They wouldn't get out of bed for Perth rates ($46 an hour - I wish).

duketing, do you get the 1 - 200,000km service costing from them?
What surprise me is: How come the interval is every 5,000km whereas the recommended service interval is 10,000km.
Don't feel ripped by over $6.00 mate.. My first 1,000km service cost me $77.00.. (including a car hire)..
My 10,000km service cost me $180

My 10,000km service cost me $180 If you make your engine work alot like taking it to the car tracks or strain your engine alot, you can change the engine oil at the 5000km interval. I just ignore it and do it every 10,000kms. if I want to change it in the 5000km interval, I just go to your normal mechanic to change the oil, oil filter and sump plug washer as that's all it is with the 5000kms interval. It wasn't over $6... that was the oil filter that charged me more for. My total was about $51+ GST inc. for the first service. How much for 1 x Honda FEO High Performance oil and 1x Honda Oil Filter from your local Honda Parts dealer? $180 is not bad considering the above interval costings are EX - GST and is for CVT.

duketing.. sorry .. forgot to mention.. I do my own oil change every 5,000km in between the normal 10,000 Honda service interval..
I nearly forgot..the $180 for the 10,000km service is excluding engine oil. I brought my own fully synthetic engine oil ...
FYI Just looking back at the service invoice, the oil filter cart cost $16.30

sent my jazz for 1000km sevice last month at Melville Perth. charged around $45, with Mobil semi-synthetic oil and honda green filter (made in thailand).
the blue japan made oil filter cost $18.50, about $7 more than the green filter, but since this was just the first service, i didnt mind using the thai spec filter and normal semi-synt oil.
for my next service at 10,000km i'll definately use the blue filter with Mobil 1 oil.
Customer service at Melville was alright, they even provided customer drop-off and pick-up to surrounding suburbs for free.
