Just a quick note... The original tyres that comes with the VTi-S model are sweet. Bridgestone Potenza RE040... We went for a drive in some winding road drive on a wet and foggie night a few weeks ago.. and I was surprise how good they handle in the wet... They grip very well.. I was very impressed... So.. there you go.. anyway.... was told by the guys that RX-8 also use the same tyres.. there must be a reason in that case...

Having just downloaded the Best Motoring for Sept, they tested the braking abilities of the compact cars.. out of all of them, the Yaris/Vitz performed the best at 110km/h to stop at about 59.5m... Fit/Jazz 1.5W with the 15" wheels, RE040, rear disc.. 75.5m however they did a 50R turn at the same time and see who can turn in the most. Out of all of them, the Benz A170 came first but had a stopping distance of 68.5m and Citroen C3 @ 72m, then the Vitz/Yaris, then Nissan Note @ 73.5m and Fit/Jazz then Mitsu Colt and Mazda Pressa.
