grrr~ I was so angry regarding this ticket..><~ It was like that, I went to the airport to fetch my cousing at 10pm, there were no car or buses along the pathway, so I just picked a spot and ask my cousins to load their luggage into my car. without any warning or signal, a guy came from no where and gave me the ticket~ Man~ I was like "What the FxxX", I didn't intend to offend the law as 1st, I didn't notice that I my back has stepped at the bus zone, 2nd, eventhough I did offend the law, should they give me a chance to move the car front abit as there's no cars at all at 10pm and bus service also unavailable~><` I got AUD120 fined and Im not happy about that~ I would accept that if I leave the car over there or refuse to move my car away~ I was just stopping there for a minute, and the guy treat me like invinsible~~ ~~ anyone having this case before and how to appeal for that?

you should write a letter to the police deparment that handles that and explain the situation that you were unaware but the car was constantly attended and could be moved with a request.
Also note the time and low "level of risk" and that you are a struggling uni student consider it hard to meet the fine.
I know with parking fines you can say you just wanted to go to toilet and they would not make you pay it but not sure about this one.

It's not under Brisbane City council or Police department~ so where should I complain this matter to? QLD transport? or to the airport department (the ticket is under the law of Brisbane Airport) I hope I could settle this down after my presentation on Friday ~~

there should be a date behind the ticket indicating when is the latest you have to appeal. else you can call up the airport and ask for more information about appealing.

yeah.. usually at the back of the fine, there should be information on how to appeal.. just said you are not aware that 1 quarter of the back of the car is on the bus zone... and that you are in a hurry to let the pessenger check in..
wierd.. in melbourne, as long as your car is half into the parking zone, it should be okay.. I remember one of my colleague appeal before and he won the case as his car was like half parking and half "no standing"
Good luck anyway, nick...

of course there are alternative ways to pay for your fine but try to argue it first. Yeah i forgot airport is private property so you will be talking to the airport authority.
lol you know when we go to airport my uncle always speed when we enter the airport highway as he says 100% no police around as its private property.

grrr~~ my friend told me he got this fined before, his case was left the car to see whether his friend had arrived to the gate or not~ it was only a few minutes and he saw his car got a ticket~ he went to QLD transport and would like to appeal for that~ however, the authority told him that it would be abit trouble as it's not under brisbane council~ so end up he paid it~ it was like 2 years ago and the fined was AUD100~ now it's AUD120 ~~><~~
