You can tell people I got this Sony pocket for $29 but had to get this $25,000 Jazz to go with it.

yeh that can be an option, to get another jazz just for the pocket.
what do u guys think about installing it into the front glove compartment?

Clever idea but I think the space is a bit bigger than a single DIN as the smaller of the 2 compartments is the exact height of a 6 stacker. Why not just go for a nice holder similar to a mobile phone holder for the mp3 player. That way you can see the display too or does yours display on your monitor already?
