feel boring about your Golf design shiftknob?.. feel like driving type-R??.. then it's time for U to change your gearknob... ^^.. I got this one from Philip~~.. Im loving it~~.. I saw someone posted it on Ebay.. however, the design is not the same as type-R coz it is flat top rather than round one.. ^^... see the difference between the real one and my replica .. this is the real DC5 shiftknob~ this is my Jazz shiftknob~ Since Jazz has 5 gears, so the design would be like DC2 style I know U gonna laugh about the replica with " big words".. but I love it coz jazz is suppose to be funky and cute~~.. the original is purely aluminium.. just that I paint it in red~ The only problem is I can't fully screw the whole gearknob into the shifting rod... so U can see there's a gap between the knob and the rubber seal.. however, the height is slightly lower than the original already... so it should have no problem at all.. ^^... if won't becoz of that problem.. I will rate 5 out of 5 for this gadget.. ^^

yeah~~... I wanna see your pic~~... the previous golfball design has better grip, U can feel the solidity of the shifting feel... however, I still prefer the smooth movement of my shifting hand~~.. ^^.. ofcoz the main reason would be the aesthetic of type-R design lah.. ^^

yeah BBF's CVT knob looks good but since it's a press down type, it's not good for me.
i love putting my hand on the stick while driving and the Razo is too short.

I've got a push down gear knob with the button on top for O/D (not that Hondas have them)... I didn't like them and in summer, it can burn your hands and in winter, freeze them which is why I prefer leather or plastic ones.

but Tofu gor, it's an auto and it's not like u have to touch the gear knob all the time.
for manual i still prefer metal ones even with the disadvantages.

I know.. but I got into a habit of leaving my hand on the gear knob... of course I have to do that now on the RAV4 and their standard knob isn't too bad.. hardish leather with a painted centre bit. Still would like a soft leather knob on it but the metal ones look the business!

my friend said it is not a good idea to lower your shift knob if U are not using "short shift".. coz U need more force to shift the normal gear (just like the different between using a short spanner and the long one to operate the tight nuts) .. and it might miss-shift or can't shift it properly.. that's why I prefer standard height shiftknob instead of those lowered one.. ^^

Exact reason why you don't just cut the lever.
