hahaha.. please dont make it sound like jazz driver is tight arse man..... we toking only abt aud100 here... sorry, i rephase that to "waste of our easy earned" haha i mean if there is a proven benefit, $100 is ok but if it does sh1t all, then it's a waste regardless u're rich or not. cant say like that in doing up a car... for example we all know that spoon socks is useless yet many ppl still buy them.... y worry? car is meant to b fun.... do watever u like.... after a few years its sold anyway....

put it this way.. This product has been and put to a test of 50 people and 41 sense performance improvement... (82% in this case..) Best is to install the ground wiring kit as well and the different is much more noticeble.. Have a look at this link... www.the-pivot.co.jp/product/se/raizin-e.html

performance doesnt necessarily mean only increase in hp or kw through dyno. when the voltage is stable, the time it takes for the ecu of the car to read its info is shorten, also more accurately... indirectly when u press the accelerator pedal, it has become more sensitive... especially in an auto car.... normally u have to press down lets say 3/4 of the pedal to change to lower gear... with pivot u only need to press down 1/2 of the pedal now... anyone uses pivot should know but i dunno y no one would put any input at all..... no i don't actually mean increase in hp. i mean if it can be measured scientificly that there is an improvement in whatever area which it claims to have improvement, then i think it's not a waste of money (whether it is value for money is another issue). otherwise it is a waste and dead weight. this is my point of view for all area of modification. there are products on the market like "magic rubberband" that is really hard to believe if there is an improvement (although i haven't personally tried it so it's just my personally opinion and i don't claim to be an expert on motor vehicle design). i don't mean to say that a voltage stabiliser is crap, i just wonder if anybody has tried it and what is their comment. and if they think there is an improvement, is it a proven improvement or seat of the pant perception. this thread is merely a request of comments.

when a part makes your car corner 20km/h faster, you don't call that ".......doesn't increase the performance......." if it isn't an increase in performance i don't know what is.........
unfortunately for parts like VS, it's not so easy to see the benefit directly so it's only normal that ppl have doubts for them.
btw it's not always possible to try everything to "feel for yourself". i know it is the best way to find out but if we do that for everything, why bother have a forum like this one. don't worry about discussions, just try the damn thing.....
ps. i'm not knocking the thing, as i said i appreciate if ppl who have tried it would comment on what sort of improvements it bring and the method of their evaluation. so far there hasn't been any......

(or even have the word "dyno" in it, apart from this post) all i said/ask was "if it (improvement) can be measured scientificly". Dyno is NOT the "be all and end all" of measurement equipment. i think u're missing my point completely :dots:

I have VS on my car, I had the ground wire installed at the same time. I am not sure what effect would the VS have on the car by itself, but with the ground wire, the car's throttle feels more responsive, I drive a manual, i heard that the effect is more obvious in an auto. The headlights are brighter, as I view the voltage of the car from my auto timer (useless ), the readout is constant, movements are within +/- 0.1V........ compares to previous readout of +/- 0.3V as I spoke to a RACV guy who gave me a jump start (I left my lights on ), he told me that the voltage in the car have 'spikes', this spikes can short our ur fuse, lights, just like in the house, sometimes the lights flicks when you turn on the air con, the main purpose of the VS is to get rid of all the spikes... hope this helps...... I am sure it is possible to DIY a VS, i heard its just a bounch of capacitors......

but how to proof scientifically when not dynoed? u seems to think that engine output is all that matters for modification. look at the wider picture. read the link that ahcash posted. on the manufacturer website (which is kinda bias i guess), and look at what they set out as improvement by this product: ¡PImproved audio quality. ¡PIncreased torque and response and power. ¡PStabilized idling and improved engine kick over. ¡PIncreased headlight brightness. ¡PImproved fuel economy. ¡PImproved battery life. out of the above 6 points, only the 2nd or maybe the 3rd point are related to engine performance. how good is a dyno to evaluate the performance of this product properly (and i stress the word properly). if someone is buying a VS purely for hp, i can think of better things to spend the money which can give you bigger gains than what VS can offer. anyway back to topic, i wonder if anyone/magazine reviews have really tested the thing to see if the manufacturer claims are really correct......

wtf.... i asked for comments from users but all u told me was to buy one and tried for myself, which was very helpful indeed..... then i asked whether if they really do what they claimed ie. if there is really increase in performance on the area they outlined. but u seems to think that i want a dyno proof. when i pointed out that a dyno doesn't proof sh1t for this product (which you agreed yourself) and asked if anyone is aware if any independent testing has been done to see if VS is effective. you said: but how to proof scientifically when not dynoed? then i pointed you toward all benefits which Pivot claimed and only one or two would be able to measured on dyno while the others have sh1t all to do with a dyno, you decided to ask me my age... sad really.........
